Seven hundred twenty sweets were distributed equally amongst children, in such a way that number of sweets received by each child is 20% of the total numberof children. How many sweets did each child receive?
Solution
Total number of sweets distributed = 720
Let total children = 100x
Number of sweets received by each child = 20% of 100x = 20x
Total number of sweets = 100x *Â 20x = 720
$$x^2 = 0.36$$
x = 0.6
Total number of sweets did each child receive = 20x = 12
