Question 35

If A gets 50% more salary than B, then B gets how much percentage less salary than A ?

Solution

Given, A gets 50% more salary than B

$$\Rightarrow$$  A = $$\frac{150}{100}$$B

$$\Rightarrow$$  A = 1.5B

Percentage of B's salary less than A's salary = $$\frac{A-B}{A}\times100$$

= $$\frac{1.5B-B}{1.5B}\times100$$

= $$\frac{0.5}{1.5}\times100$$

= $$\frac{1}{3}\times100$$

= $$33\frac{1}{3}\%$$

Hence, the correct answer is Option B
