Question 33

The diameter of a wheel is 42 cm. How many revolutions will be made by the wheel in covering a distance of 4092 metre ?

Solution

Distance covered by wheel in one revolution = circumference of wheel

= $$\pi$$ * diameter

= $$\frac{22}{7} * 42$$ = 132 cm

= 1.32 metre

=> No. of revolutions = $$\frac{4092}{1.32}$$ = 3100
