In a class of 56 students, 1/4 are in Team Gold and 3/14 are in Team Silver. Out of the remaining, 1/3 are in Team Bronze and the rest in Team Platinum. How many students are there in Team Platinum ?

Solution

Total students = 56

Team Gold = $$\frac{1}{4}\times56 =14$$

Team Silver = $$\frac{3}{14}\times56 =12$$

Total members in gold and silver team = 14 + 12 = 26

Team Bronze = $$\frac{1}{3}\times(56-26) = 10$$

Team Platinum = $$ 56 - (14+ 12 + 10) = 20 $$

Option C is correct.
