Question 25

Three beakers have capacity of 250 ml, 650 ml and 200 ml each. 682 ml of juice is poured into the three beakers such that the same fraction of each is filled. How much is poured into the smallest beaker?

Solution

as juice is poured in such a way that the same fraction of each beaker is filled

sum = 250 + 650 + 200 = 1100 ml

smallest beaker is filled with $$ \frac{200}{1100} \times 682 = 124 ml $$
