Question 25

The system of equation $$2x + 4y + 16 = 0$$ and $$3x + 6y + 24 = 0$$ is

The given system of equations is $$2x + 4y + 16 = 0 \Rightarrow 1$$  and $$3x + 6y + 24 = 0 \Rightarrow 2$$

Let's multiply equation 1 by three and equation 2 by 2.

We get  $$6x + 12y + 48 = 0 \Rightarrow 1$$ $$6x + 12y + 48 = 0 \Rightarrow 2$$

Both the lines are collinear, and the number of solutions is infinite.
