What is the difference between the total number of children pursuing dancing and the total number of children pursuing painting form all the States together?

Solution

Total number of children pursuing dancing from all the states together

= 22.5 + 22.5 + 25 + 27.5 = 97.5 thousand

Total number of children pursuing painting from all the states together

= 15 + 12.5 + 32.5 + 17.5 = 77.5 thousand

=> Required difference = (97.5 - 77.5) thousand

= 20 thousand
