The sum of the digits to a two digit number is 14. The difference between the first digit and the second digit of the two digit number is 4. What is the two digit number ?

Solution

Let the number be $$10x + y$$

Acc to ques,

=> $$x + y = 14$$ and $$x - y = 4$$

Adding both equations, we get :

=> $$2x = 18$$

=> $$x = 9$$ and $$y = 5$$

$$\therefore$$ Number = 95
