Solution
it is given that Mr. X (S1) is more than 40% of Mr. Y’s salary (S2) by Rs. 8,000 i.e.
S1 = $$\frac{40}{100}$$x S2 + 8000
or we can say that
S1 = (40#100)*S2 @ 8000
