Harkamal purchased 8 kgs. of grapes at the rate of Rs. 70 per kg. and 9 kgs. of mangoes at the rate of Rs. 55 per kg. How much amount did he pay to the shopkeeper ?

Solution

Total Amount paid by Harkamal to the shopkeeper = Amount paid by Harkamal for grapes +Amount paid by Harkamal for Mangoes
= 70 $$\times$$ 8 + 55 $$\times$$ 9 = 560 +495 = Rs 1055
