Fifteen girls are standing in a straight fine facing North. Sudha is standing eleventh from the right end. Radha is standing ninth from the left end. Meena is standing exactly between Sudha and Radha. How many girls are standing to the right of Meena ?
Solution
Total girls = 15
Position of Sudha from right end = 11th
=> Position of Sudha from left end = (15 - 11) + 1 = 5th
Position of Radha from left end = 9th
Meena is standing exactly between Sudha and Radha.
=> Position of Meena from left end = $$\frac{5 + 9}{2}$$ = 7th
Thus, number of girls who are standing to the right of Meena = 15 - 7 = 8
=> Ans - (A)
