Study the given Information carefully and answer the given questions :Among six people – A, B, C, D, E and F each of a different age, A is younger than only D. Only three people are younger than C. F is younger than E. F is not the youngest.

Question 168

If E’s age is 16 years, then which of the following may be B’s age ?

Solution

Let us give ranking to the people according to their ages such as 1-> Eldest person and 6 -> youngest

A is younger than only D, => D is the eldest and A is second oldest.

Only three people are younger than C, => C = 3

F is younger than E and F is not the youngest, => E > F but F $$\neq$$ 6

=> B is the youngest and F is second youngest.

$$\therefore$$ D > A > C > E > F > B

If E's age = 16 years and B is younger than E, => B's age is less than 16

Only one option given above is less than 16 i.e., 12 years

=> Ans - (E)
