Question 168

A, B, and C started a business by investing Rs.12800, Rs.16800 and Rs.9600 respectively. If after 8 months B received Rs.13125 as his share of profit, what amount did C get as his share of profit?

Solution

Ratio of investments of B and C = 16800 : 9600 = 7 : 4

=> Profits of B : C = 7 : 4

=> C's share = $$\frac{4}{7}*13125$$ = Rs 7500
