Instructions

Study the following information to answer the given questions:

A, B, C, D, E, F and G are seated in a straight line facing North but not necessarily in the same order. Only three people sit between F and A. Neither F nor A sits at an extreme end of the line. Only two people sit between A and G. E is not an immediate neighbour of either A or F. E sits third to left of B. B is not an immediate neighbour of A. E is not an immediate neighbour of C.

Question 167

Which of the following pairs represents persons seated at the two extreme ends of the line ?

Solution

Only three people sit between F and A and none of them sits at end,

=> A sits second from left end of the line and F sits second from right end.

E is not an immediate neighbour of A or F, => E sits exactly in the middle of the line.

Only two people sit between A and G, => G sits between E and F.

E sits third to left of B, => B sits at extreme right end

Also, C is not a neighbour of E, => C sits at extreme left end and D sits to the immediate left of E.

Clearly, B and C are sitting at extreme ends of the line.

=> Ans - (C)
