Solution

Let the speed of the boat be S and the speed of the stream be R.

So, 24 / 4 = 6 = S + R

24 / 6 = 4 = S - R

So, 2S = 10 => S = 5 and R = 1

So, speed of the boat in still water = 1 kmph
