What is the area of the circle?
I. Perimeter of the circle is 88 cms.
II. Diameter of the circle is 28 cms.
I : Perimeter = $$2\pi r=88$$
=> $$2\times\frac{22}{7}r=88$$
=> $$r=88\times\frac{7}{44}=14$$ cm
Thus, area = $$\pi r^2$$
= $$\frac{22}{7}\times(14)^2=616$$ $$cm^2$$
Thus, statement I alone is sufficient.
II : Diameter = $$28$$ cm
=> Radius, $$r=\frac{28}{2}=14$$ cm
Thus, area = $$\pi r^2$$
= $$\frac{22}{7}\times(14)^2=616$$ $$cm^2$$
Thus, statement II alone is sufficient.
