Question 146

Kumud is facing which direction ?
I. Nikhil is facing North and if he turns to his left he faces opposite direction as that of Kumud.
II. Saroj who is facing East is to the right of Kumud.

Solution

I : Nikhil is facing North.

Nikhil after turning to his left will face west.

=> Kumud is facing east (opposite of west).

Thus, I alone is sufficient.

II : It is not possible to determine the direction in which Kumud is facing.

Thus, II alone is not sufficient.
