Question 140

Who amongst Ronak, Sanjay, Anish and Rohan is the tallest ?I. Ronak is as tall as Sanjay.II. Anish is taller than Rohan.

Solution

Clearly, in each statement alone, data of only 2 people is given, thus either statement alone is insufficient to find the tallest person.

Combining both statements, we get : Ronak = Sanjay

and Anish > Rohan

Still, we can't find the tallest person in the group.

$$\therefore$$ Both statements even together are insufficient.
