Approximately what was the total number of defaulters of Bank T in the years 2007 and 2008 together ?

Solution

Total number of defaulters of Bank T in 2007 = $$\frac{19}{100} \times 36152$$

= $$6868.88 \approx 6869$$

Total number of defaulters of Bank T in 2008 = $$\frac{18}{100} \times 35463$$

= $$6383.34 \approx 6383$$

$$\therefore$$ Total defaulters = $$6869 + 6383 = 13252$$

$$\approx 13250$$
