Approximately what was the difference between the number of defaulters of Bank Q in the year 2004 and 2005 ?

Solution

Total number of defaulters of Bank Q in 2004 = $$\frac{9}{100} \times 26345$$

= $$2371.05 \approx 2371$$

Total number of defaulters of Bank Q in 2005 = $$\frac{8}{100} \times 27456$$

= $$2196.48 \approx 2196$$

$$\therefore$$ Required difference = $$2371 - 2196 = 175$$
