What is the ratio of the profit earned by shopkeeper U in the months February 2010 and March 2010 together to that earned by shopkeeper Q in the same months ?

Solution

Total profit earned by U in Feb 2010 and March 2010 = 6190 + 6230 = 12420

Total profit earned by Q in Feb 2010 and March 2010 = 5040 + 5120 = 10160

So, the ratio = 12420 : 10160 = 621 : 508
