What is the percentage of candidates qualified in 1998 and 1999 together from all the states w.r.t. the candidates appeared from all the states in these two years (the value upto two decimal points)?
Solution
Total number of candidates appearing from 1998 and 1999 is 111300 + 115650 = 226950
Total number of candidates qualified from 1998 and 1999 is 11295 + 12170 = 23465
So, the percentage = $$ \frac{23465}{226950}*100$$ = 10.34%
