IIM Indore IPM Fees 2026
IIM Indore IPM is a 5-year fully residential course that provides BA (Foundations of Management) for the first 3 years and then leads into a 2-year PGP/MBA.

This article gives information about the IIM Indore IPM Fees 2026 which includes fee structure, fees components, admission fees, commitment fee, other expenses and scholarships for its students.
IIM Indore IPM Fee Structure
For the first three years (IPM-I, IPM-II, IPM-III), the fees structure is the same and will be paid term-wise. Each term consists of three terms per year.

IPM-III: Academic Year 2028-29

Post graduate phase (Year 4 and 5):
Once the candidate finishes the 3rd year they will move to the 2-year Post Graduate Programme (AY 2029-31). The tuition fee for these 2 years will be the same as IIM Indore's MBA fee for the corresponding period.
Currently, PGP fees are about INR 13 to 12 lakhs annually. This will result in INR 24 lakhs to 25 lakhs for the latter 2-year PG phase.

IIM Indore IPM Fees Components
What exactly does this "Course Fee" cover?. Many students and parents feel it will lead to a "rain" of un-foreseen expenses covering campus access. However, IIM Indore practices the "inclusive" bill approach:
The main Fee Components included in the annual Rs. 6,00,000 undergraduate course fee cover:
- Tuition Charges: Primarily covers your core curriculum delivery, internal and final exams/assessments, and access to best faculty mentorship in IIMI.
- On-Campus Lodging/Accommodation: The IPM is purely a residential program, so this section covers your allocated hostel room on the gorgeous, green, and picturesque "Planet IIMI" campus.
- Infrastructure Access: The fee covers complete and unfettered access to sophisticated computing centers, the modern and multi-story library, world class Wi-Fi campus wide network, etc., state-of-the art multi-story sports amenities like the swimming pool, gym and all student activity blocks on the campus.
IIM Indore IPM Admission Fees
For registration, candidates have to pay the IPMAT exam fees. These payments can be made through the online portal of the institute. This fee is non-refundable once submitted. There is no extra charge applied for shortlisting for the personal interview round.

Post Admission Acceptance:
After receiving the admission offer letter, students have to accept their seat by paying the first term fee. This payment is a one-time sum of Rs.2,68,000 (which consists of the caution deposit and first mess deposit installment) collected at the time of admission.
IIM Indore IPM Commitment Fee
Many candidates miss this vital step during the IIM Indore IPM admissions process. Once the candidate receives an offer for admission:
- A commitment fee of Rs.1,00,000 has to be deposited for securing acceptance of your seat.
- This amount is offset from your 1st Term tuition fee - it is not an extra charge on the top of your fee structure.
- It has to be deposited within the specified deadline given in the offer letter.
- Your offer of admission stands forfeited, if you fail to deposit the commitment fee within the specified deadline.
The commitment fee is an expression of your interest and is charged so that you do not block the seat without genuine interest in it. The same is true of IIMs and premier business schools for all their programs.
IIM Indore IPM Other Expenses
Although, tuition fee and lodging fee is the cost of the overall program, it will be a better idea to have a checklist of several mandatory off-the-book overheads, deposits and personal utilities which you will have to add in the list of expenses.
1. Refundable Caution Deposit:
The caution deposit of Rs.50,000 is charged from all students( Domestic and International) at the beginning of year 1, which is used by the institute to cover any potential damage of properties and articles and return of library articles.
This amount is fully refundable once the 5-year tenure of the course is complete and all the exit clearances are obtained by students.
2. Mess Deposits(Food and Dining):
Charges are associated with the dining hall. Food service is operated by the Student Mess Committee, which charges the fee on actual consumption.
The annual charge is INR 54,000, and is collected per semester at INR 18,000, and transferred directly to the Students Mess Committee IIM Indore bank account.
3. Medical Insurance:
The Medical care on campus is available via structured health cover plan. A Mediclaim insurance Premium is deducted from student accounts, to cover medical facilities at the on-campus medical center and at other hospitals. The average premium cost would be approximately Rs.679 per year per student.
4. Textbooks, Laptop, and Daily Sundries:
Course fee does not include the cost of printing texts, or personal stationary.
Every IIM IPM student must possess his own laptop of appropriate specs. Other everyday expenses like laundry, entertainment, visits home, cafe expenses etc are calculated to be between INR 3,00,000 to 5,00,000 for 5 years.

IIM Indore IPM Scholarships
Overall expenses incurred for IIM courses seem too high, but it should be known that every Indian student should have access to top quality education irrespective of his economical status. A range of scholarships and comprehensive financial aid plans are available to eligible students at IIM Indore.
1.Need-Based Financial Assistance(NBFA):
This is an internally managed program of financial support for needy students.
An eligible domestic student is a student whose parental family annual income is below INR 12,00,000.
An application has to be submitted at the beginning of the year for this assistance, and an extensive audit on parental income certificates, tax returns, bank statements, and asset declarations will be conducted by the financial aid committee to determine a student's needs score.
Depending upon this, various levels of financial support would be offered from partial to full fee waiver.
2.Central Government Schemes:
These are top education schemes by the Central Government of India for deserving students:
- Top Class Education Scheme for SC Students: This is by the ministry of social justice and empowerment. It covers the complete fee for students of scheduled caste communities along with allowance for living and laptop, etc.
- National Scholarship and Fellowship for Higher Education of ST Students: This is by the Ministry of tribal affairs and serves for scheduled tribe students in a similar fashion to above.
- Merit-cum-Means Scholarship Scheme: This is run through the National Scholarship Portal. It is aimed to cover tuition fees for students who are either from a minority community or are economically weak and have a good merit score.
3. State Government Schemes:
Various states run a series of financial schemes for their students studying in these premier institutions. Such candidates have to apply through their home states directly.
4. Special Hassle Free Educational Loans:
With the strong placement record and robust pedagogy of the IIMs, major banks are open to provide credit for students with an aim to get an MBA in IPM programs. SBI Scholarship loan or other loan schemes can be sought from most public sector banks which often require no collateral for loans up to 40 Lacs and are provided at minimum interest rates. The repayment of loan often starts 1 year after the course ends.
