IIM Bangalore UG First Batch 2026-2030 RTI data is now available. IIM B offered BSc Honours in Economics and Data Science with 40 seats in each course. However, the applications were over 12,000 in 2025. The RTI data covers both BSc Honours programmes for the 2026–2030 batch. The admission process was based on the IIM Bangalore UG Admission Test 2025.

• PI shortlist: Number of candidates shortlisted from each category for both programmes.
• Admission test scores: Lowest and highest scores of candidates shortlisted for the PI.
• Final cutoffs: Minimum composite score needed for final admission in each category.
• Final offers: Number of candidates who received admission offers, along with their gender and category.
• Class profile: Category-wise number of candidates currently studying in both programmes.
• Waitlist movement: Number of candidates who moved up from the waitlist in each category.

IIM Bangalore UG PI Shortlist 2025

The PI shortlist is the list of candidates who were called for the Personal Interview after the UG Admission Test. The RTI provides separate shortlist numbers for Economics and Data Science.

BSc Honours in Economics

The minimum UG Admission Test score for PI shortlisting was 108 for General candidates. It was 75 for NC-OBC, 78 for EWS, 69 for SC, 50 for ST and 60 for PwD.

The minimum test scores for PI shortlisting were 108 for General, 78 for EWS, 75 for OBC, 69 for SC, 50 for ST and 60 for PwD.

The final admission cutoff was different from the PI shortlist cutoff. This difference matters because being shortlisted for the PI did not automatically mean receiving an admission offer.

IIM Bangalore UG Waitlist Movement 2025

Not every candidate who gets an offer necessarily joins the programme. When seats become available, candidates from the waitlist can move up.

No vacant seats were reported after the final admission closure for Data Science. For Economics, the RTI specifically states that there were no vacant General-category seats.

The minimum final IIMB UG admission composite scores were different for the two programmes as shown in the table below.

These RTI figures show that IIM Bangalore UG admissions were highly competitive, especially for the General category. However, the PI shortlist score, final composite cutoff and admission-test percentile measure different parts of the admission process. They should not be treated as the same cutoff.

IIM Bangalore UG RTI Data 2025: Conclusion

The IIM Bangalore UG RTI data gives a clear picture of the 2025 admission process. For the 2026–2030 batch, 40 candidates received admission offers for BSc Honours in Economics and another 40 for Data Science.

The minimum final admission cutoff was 70.74 for Economics and 71.83 for Data Science in the General category. The RTI also shows that 184 candidates were shortlisted for the Economics interview, while 269 were shortlisted for Data Science. The lowest admission-test percentile for General category candidates who got final admission was 96.19.

These numbers show that getting into IIM Bangalore was competitive. Applicants can use these figures to understand past admission trends, but future cutoffs may change.
