In questions below, each passage consists of six sentences. The first and sixth sentence are given in the beginning. The middle four sentences in each have been removed and jumbled up. These are labeled as P, Q, R and S. Find out the proper order for the four sentences.

Question 96

S1 : A noise started above their heads.
P: But people did not take it seriously.
Q : That was to show everyone that there was something wrong
R : It was a dangerous thing to do.
S : For, within minutes the ship began to sink.
S6: Nearly 200 lives were lost

In sentence Q, the pronoun "that" is referring to "noise above their heads".
So, sentence Q must follow S1.
Sentence P is having a negation word "but" which reflects a transition in the mood of the author.
Therefore, sentence P must follow Q. This also demonstrates the continuation of ideas, as people heard the noise but did not take it seriously.
Then sentence R must follow P. The reason is that in sentence R, "it was a dangerous thing" refers to people ignoring the noise. Lastly, sentence S must follow R and precede S6.
So, the correct sequence is QPRS.
