Question 43

Agog

The word "agog" means very eager or curious to hear or see something. It is typically used as a phrase like " all agog" or "agog with excitement" etc.

Option A: [The boys were all agog to see their parents.] uses agog correctly, clearly implying that the boys were excited to see their parents. Option B: [She was all agog at the surprise announcement.] also uses agog correctly, implying that she(the subject) is curious about the announcement. Option C: [The victory set the whole state agog with excitement.] is also a correct usage of the word, and implies the idea that the state is excited by the victory.

Therefore, Option D (All are correct) is the right choice.
