Five friends A, B, C, D and E travelled to five different cities; Pune, Kolkata, Delhi, Bengaluru and Mumbai by different modes of transport; bus, train, aeroplane, car and boat from Goa. Further, the following information is given :

(A) The person who travelled to Delhi did not travel by boat.
(B) C went to Bengaluru by car and B went to Kolkata by aeroplane.
(C) D travelled by boat and E travelled by train
(D) Goa is not connected by bus to Delhi and Pune.

Now, which of the following pair of person and mode of transport is NOT correct?

As per (B), C went to Bengaluru by car and B went to Kolkata by aeroplane, and as per (C), D travelled by boat and E travelled by train.

This means that A is travelling by Bus.

As per (A), the person who travelled to Delhi did not travel by boat. Thus, D is not travelling to Delhi.

As per (D) Goa is not connected by bus to Delhi and Pune. Thus, A is not travelling to either Delhi or Pune.

Both A and D are not travelling to Delhi, and B and C are travelling to Kolkata and Bengaluru, respectively. Thus, only E can travel to Delhi.

Also, A is not travelling to Pune, which means that only D can travel to Pune. Therefore, A is travelling to Mumbai.

Thus, the incorrect pair is E - Car, as E is travelling by Train.
