A mixture of alcohol and water contains 35% alcohol by weight. if 25 g water is added to such a mixture of 100 g, then the percentage of alcohol in the mixture is

In 100 gm of mixture , alcohol= 35 gm & water = 65 gm.

So, if 25 gm water is added to this mixture : Alcohol = 35 gm
                                                                   Water = 65 + 25 = 90 gm.

Therefore, the percentage of alcohol in new mixture = $$\dfrac{\ 35}{125}\times100\ \%$$ = 28 %
