Answer the following questions based on the given information:
Eight Girls M, N, O, P, Q, R, S and T are sitting in a line facing north and likes different colours such as Red, Pink, Yellow, White, Blue, Violet, Brown and Black but not necessarily in the same order.
The one who likes yellow sits fourth to the right of M. Neither M nor yellow sits at the extreme ends. N sits third to the left of R. The number of girls sits between T and the one who likes violet is same as S and the one who likes blue. T sits to the immediate left of black. The number of girls sitting between those who like red and white is the same as the number who like white and pink. P does not sit adjacent to T. R likes violet colour and O likes brown colour. One person sits between S and the one who likes yellow. S does not like red colour and does not sit at any of the extreme end.
R likes Violet & O likes brown colour.
As Yellow sits 4 places right of M : "M - - - Yellow"
It is also given that there is one person between S & Yellow, and S doesn't sit to extreme : "M - S - Yellow"
No of girls b/w T & Violet is same as S and Blue . T sits to immediate left of black , from these statements, the only possibility becomes :
" (Blue) M R(Violet) S - T(yellow) Q(black)"
Now, as it is given that S doesn't like red & No. of girls b/w red and white is equal to white and pink (Non zero number) . This implies the possibility : "N(Red) P(Blue) M(white) R(Violet) S(pink) O(Brown) T(Yellow) Q(Black)" .
Therefore, number of girls b/w M & N is 1.
