Two conducting circular loops A and B are placed in the same plane with their centers coinciding as shown in figure. The mutual inductance between them is :
If two circular loops are concentric and lie in the same plane:
Magnetic field at centre due to loop A:
$$B=\frac{(μ₀I)}{2b}$$
Flux through loop B:
$$Φ=B\times areaofB$$
$$=\frac{μ₀I}{2b}\times(\pi a^2)$$
So mutual inductance:
$$M=\frac{Φ}{I}$$
$$=\frac{(μ₀\pi a^2)}{2b}$$
