Print requirement: You need to have two printed colour copies of your admit card on A4 size paper. You can use black and white for your printout; however use of colour is highly recommended as it will increase the chances of your photograph being clearly visible and easily scanned from the barcode.

4. Category/Disability Certificate (If Applicable): The candidates applying under a reserved category (SC, ST, NC-OBC, EWS) or the PwD category, please bring a photocopy of your specified certificate with you. In general, this is not requested to be produced at the exam centre entrance; however, if there is a discrepancy in your information in the system at the exam centre, you will be required to provide this.

Things You Should NOT Carry to the IPMAT Centre
The "No Bring" list below is extensive. Keep these items at home or in your car, as many exam centres do not have a bag counter.
Electronic Devices (with Zero Tolerance):
- Mobile phones - Mobile phones are strictly prohibited, even if they are turned OFF.
- Smartwatches/Fitness Tracking Bands - Some exam centres may allow simple analogue watches to be worn. However, most exam centres totally ban watches.
- Calculators - No physical or electronic calculators are allowed.
Stationery Items:
- Geometry Set or Pencil Case - Any kind of stationery container is prohibited.
- Books or Notes - No study material, note books or loose sheet paper.

IPMAT Exam Centre Rules and Security Guidelines

Reporting Time:
Candidates should arrive at least 60-90 minutes before their scheduled exam time. Doors usually close 30 minutes before the exam starts and candidates arriving after that time will not be allowed to enter.
Dressing Codes:
The IIMs require simple and modest clothing in order to avoid concealing any types of electronic devices or pieces of paper.
- Men: As a result, males will be required to wear half-sleeve t-shirts or shirts that do not have a large button. Cargo pants typically do not meet this requirement due to their many pockets.
- Women: In addition to that, females should also wear modest clothing such as a plain kurta or top over jeans or leggings. The use of any type of decorative embellishment including embroidery, sequins or large, metallic decorative zippers on any type of clothing is prohibited.
- Footwear: When it comes to the footwear worn to the exam centre, sandals or flip-flops are appropriate. Shoes with thick soles (e.g., trainers or boots) will usually not be allowed into the examination centre, as they can be used to conceal electronic devices.
Screening Process:
- Metal Detectors: All candidates will be required to pass through a door frame metal detector (DFMD).
- Biometrics: Candidates will also have their fingerprints and/or their irises recorded. If a candidate has applied henna or other temporary tattoos to their fingers, the henna or tattoos must be sufficiently lightened before the fingerprint scanner can read them.
- Document Verification: An official from the exam centre will compare the candidate's face, name and ID with the admission ticket.

Important Instructions to Follow Before Entering the Exam Hall
Achieving success in the IPMAT examination is equally dependent on your punctuality and efficiency.
Arrival Time: The examination for the IPMAT Indore exam 2026 will commence at 2:00 PM. You need to arrive at the exam center no later than 1:00 PM.
Entry to Exam Hall Protocol: The exam will start at 2:00 PM, therefore all exam candidates must enter the exam hall before 1:30 PM. The gates of the exam hall will be closed 30 minutes prior to the commencement of the examination - 1:30 PM. No candidates will be permitted to enter the exam hall after 1:30 PM, regardless of the circumstances.
How to Locate Your Seat in The Lab: Your admission ticket contains your roll number. Upon entering the exam hall, you must refer to the display boards located at the entrance of the exam hall for both your lab number and your individual seat assignment.
Seating Instructions: You are not permitted to leave your assigned seat after entering the lab for 120 minutes; even if you complete the examination early.
How to Manage Your Rough Work Sheets: You will receive a rough work sheet that has been issued by the Invigilators to perform rough calculations and other types of rough draft work. You must write your name and roll number on the top of your rough work sheet. You must return your rough work sheet to either the designated location or to the Invigilator at the conclusion of your examination. The removal of a rough work sheet outside of the examination hall is a violation of the rules of conduct.
