TAPMI IPM Selection Criteria 2026
The TAPMI (TA Pai Management Institute), which is part of MAHE (Manipal Academy of Higher Education), is a leading University in India that offers a prestigious Integrated Programme in Management (IPM), through which BBA and MBA degrees from AACSB-accredited TAPMI Manipal can be achieved by the students enrolled on the programme. The TAPMI Integrated Programme in Management (IPM) has a unique structure of 5 years, with the first three years of study culminating in a BBA and the last two years working together with the MBA Batch chosen through CAT/XAT (Common Admission Test/XAT) processes.
TAPMI IPM Eligibility Criteria 2026
Candidates applying to the five-year TAPMI Integrated Programme must meet certain minimum eligibility criteria:
Educational Background: Candidates must have completed Higher Secondary with at least 60% aggregate from a recognized board
Required Subjects: Candidates must include English as a subject in Class 12
Date of Passing: To be eligible for admission, applicants must have passed Class 12 or be expecting to do so between 2024 and 2026
Required Entrance Scores: Candidates must have at least one of the following entrance score types: IPMAT Indore, JIPMAT, JEE Main, SAT, CLAT or Manipal Entrance Test (MET).
TAPMI IPM Program Selection Process
TAPMI IPM employs a comprehensive selection process that looks at the “whole student”, and therefore does not rely exclusively on entrance exam scores. The selection process includes several stages:
Application Process: Applicants submit their applications online at the TAPMI website and may submit multiple test results; TAPMI will only consider the highest score achieved.
Shortlisting Process: A candidate is shortlisted based on his/her test results and must achieve a minimum of 60% in Classes 10 and 12.
Interviews and Micro-Presentation Process: Shortlisted students will be interviewed online and complete a micro-presentation.

- TAPMI does not accept applications in hard copy format. All candidates must submit their applications online through the official website. The application fee can be paid using UPI, credit card, debit card, net banking, or other available online payment methods. - Please note that the admission process may be modified if required due to unforeseen circumstances.
- Any disputes related to admission to this program will fall under the jurisdiction of Udupi only.
- The application fee, once paid, is non-refundable.
- TAPMI uses IPMAT, JIPMAT, CLAT, JEE, and SAT scores for shortlisting candidates for its BBA (Hons.) and IPM programs. However, the respective exam conducting authorities are not involved in the selection process or the administration of the program.
- There is no management quota for admissions at TAPMI.

TAPMI IPM Expected Cutoff
Although TAPMI does not consistently publish cutoff scores in advance, based on the previous year's data and estimates by experts for the 2026 academic year, competitive cutoff scores will be used for shortlisting candidates based on their entrance test performance:
IPMAT (Indore): Score of between 175 and 185
JIPMAT: Score of 260+
SAT: 1350+
JEE Main: Minimum of 85 percentile+.
Note: These are not the official cutoffs. These cutoffs are based on the previous year's trends and the reputation of the TAPMI.
TAPMI often employs "profile-based" shortlisting; candidates who have outstanding extracurricular activities or high levels of achievement in their 10th and 12th grades may still receive an interview invitation even though they fall below recommended test score ranges.
TAPMI IPM Program Interview Process
The TAPMI IPM interview is the most important aspect of your selection process. The interview will usually take place over a period of 20-25 minutes and have two distinct sections:
Micro-Presentation:
A candidate will get a topic to talk about something abstract or pertaining to current events, candidate will have a couple of minutes to prepare and then candidate will have 2-3 minutes to speak about your topic.
Emphasis will be placed on the candidate's ability to communicate your thoughts in a clear, organized manner.
Personal Interview (PI):
The PI panel will consist of two professors, who will ask questions about:
Academic Interest: Why do you want to pursue a career in management? Why have you chosen TAPMI?
General Awareness: What have you read about in the news recently related to business and social issues?
Self-Awareness: What are your strengths and weaknesses? Have you had any experience in leadership positions?
Application Deadlines for TAPMI IPM 2026
The admission for the TAPMI IPM Program takes place in two phases. The applicants can register in any of the phases. Some of the important application deadline dates for the TAPMI IPM Program are listed below.

TAPMI Application Fee:
The application fee isINR 800 (inclusive of taxes). An additional Fee of INR 1200 will be applicable for appearing in TAPMI MET. Candidates may have to incur, in addition, the processing fees applicable as per rules of banks and other payment gateways.

- IPMAT (Integrated Program in Management Aptitude Test) conducted by IIM Indore; OR
- JIPMAT (Joint Integrated Program in Management Admission Test) conducted by National Testing Agency, OR
- JEE mains (Joint Entrance Examination) conducted by the National Testing Agency, for the corresponding academic year, OR
- SAT examination (administered on behalf of the College Board by the Educational Testing Service); OR
- Common Law Admission Test (CLAT); OR
- Manipal Entrance Test (MET) conducted by MAHE

TAPMI IPM Scholarships and Financial Support
TAPMI is among a very limited number of private educational institutions who provide a significant amount of financial assistance to its students.
Dr Ramdas Pai UG Freeship Scholarship:
This Scholarship is awarded to the highest rank holder (in terms of overall score) in the selection process who will receive a 100% tuition fee waiver (INR 5,50,000 per year).
Dr Ramdas Pai UG Freeship Scholarship:
This Scholarship is awarded to the next two rank holders (in terms of overall score) in the selection process who will receive a 20% tuition fee waiver (INR 1,10,000 per year).
Dr Ramdas Pai Scholarship for Achievers:
This Scholarship is awarded to the top 5% of eligible candidates on the basis of performance in the previous academic year and they will receive a 20% tuition fee waiver (INR 1,10,000 per year).
