    TAPMI IPM Selection Criteria 2026

The TAPMI (TA Pai Management Institute), which is part of MAHE (Manipal Academy of Higher Education), is a leading University in India that offers a prestigious Integrated Programme in Management (IPM), through which BBA and MBA degrees from AACSB-accredited TAPMI Manipal can be achieved by the students enrolled on the programme. The TAPMI Integrated Programme in Management (IPM) has a unique structure of 5 years, with the first three years of study culminating in a BBA and the last two years working together with the MBA Batch chosen through CAT/XAT (Common Admission Test/XAT) processes.

    TAPMI IPM Eligibility Criteria 2026

Candidates applying to the five-year TAPMI Integrated Programme must meet certain minimum eligibility criteria:

Educational Background: Candidates must have completed Higher Secondary with at least 60% aggregate from a recognized board

Required Subjects: Candidates must include English as a subject in Class 12

Date of Passing: To be eligible for admission, applicants must have passed Class 12 or be expecting to do so between 2024 and 2026

Required Entrance Scores: Candidates must have at least one of the following entrance score types: IPMAT Indore, JIPMAT, JEE Main, SAT, CLAT or Manipal Entrance Test (MET).

    TAPMI IPM Program Selection Process

TAPMI IPM employs a comprehensive selection process that looks at the “whole student”, and therefore does not rely exclusively on entrance exam scores. The selection process includes several stages:

Application Process: Applicants submit their applications online at the TAPMI website and may submit multiple test results; TAPMI will only consider the highest score achieved.

Shortlisting Process: A candidate is shortlisted based on his/her test results and must achieve a minimum of 60% in Classes 10 and 12.

Interviews and Micro-Presentation Process: Shortlisted students will be interviewed online and complete a micro-presentation.

    Important Note:

    • TAPMI does not accept applications in hard copy format. All candidates must submit their applications online through the official website. The application fee can be paid using UPI, credit card, debit card, net banking, or other available online payment methods. The website provides step-by-step guidance for completing the application process.
    • Please note that the admission process may be modified if required due to unforeseen circumstances.
    • Any disputes related to admission to this program will fall under the jurisdiction of Udupi only.
    • The application fee, once paid, is non-refundable.
    • TAPMI uses IPMAT, JIPMAT, CLAT, JEE, and SAT scores for shortlisting candidates for its BBA (Hons.) and IPM programs. However, the respective exam conducting authorities are not involved in the selection process or the administration of the program.
    • There is no management quota for admissions at TAPMI.

    TAPMI IPM Expected Cutoff

Although TAPMI does not consistently publish cutoff scores in advance, based on the previous year's data and estimates by experts for the 2026 academic year, competitive cutoff scores will be used for shortlisting candidates based on their entrance test performance:

IPMAT (Indore): Score of between 175 and 185

    JIPMAT: Score of 260+

    SAT: 1350+

JEE Main: Minimum of 85 percentile+.

Note: These are not the official cutoffs. These cutoffs are based on the previous year's trends and the reputation of the TAPMI.

TAPMI often employs "profile-based" shortlisting; candidates who have outstanding extracurricular activities or high levels of achievement in their 10th and 12th grades may still receive an interview invitation even though they fall below recommended test score ranges.

    TAPMI IPM Program Interview Process

The TAPMI IPM interview is the most important aspect of your selection process. The interview will usually take place over a period of 20-25 minutes and have two distinct sections:

    Micro-Presentation:

A candidate will get a topic to talk about something abstract or pertaining to current events, candidate will have a couple of minutes to prepare and then candidate will have 2-3 minutes to speak about your topic.

Emphasis will be placed on the candidate's ability to communicate your thoughts in a clear, organized manner.

    Personal Interview (PI):

The PI panel will consist of two professors, who will ask questions about:

Academic Interest: Why do you want to pursue a career in management? Why have you chosen TAPMI?

General Awareness: What have you read about in the news recently related to business and social issues?

Self-Awareness: What are your strengths and weaknesses? Have you had any experience in leadership positions?
