Finding your IPMAT exam slot timing and your test centre is simple, but time sensitive. Below is a step by step process to follow in order to accomplish this task:
Step 1: Go to the Official IPMAT website
The first step is to go to the official IIM Indore IPM admissions website. This can be done at https://ipmat.iimindore.ac.in. The website must be verified as being the official site or you may be on a third-party website.
Step 2: Login to your registered candidate account
To login to your account, use the following credentials which are provided when you registered to apply for the programme:
- Registration ID/Application Number
- Password or Date of Birth (as instructed)
Step 3: Find the link/section for your admit card
Once you are logged into your account, you will see your dashboard with several links to other sections. You will need to find the "Admit Card" or "Hall Ticket" link which will only become active after the official admit card has been released (i.e. approximately 2 to 3 weeks prior to the date of the examination).
Step 4: Download your admit card and check for the following;
Once you click on the download button, the PDF of your admit card will be created, and will be saved to your device.
From there, you can open your file and check the following information:
- The date of the exam
- The reporting time
- The test centre name and complete address
Step 5: Print your admit card
After reviewing your admit card information, you will need to print the admit card on A4 size (either black and white or colour) paper. You should carry at least two copies of your admit card with you to the test, one for yourself and one to give to the test administrator.

How to Prepare Based on IPMAT Exam Timings
Strategic and effective preparation usually is a function of how you successfully coordinate your skill development plan with the timing of your upcoming exam. Therefore, your IPMAT Exam timings are to be used to plan how you want to structure your final weeks of preparation, and also how you want to approach the exam day.
For Rohtak (Morning Session - 9:00am Start Time)
The candidates who are scheduled to write in the morning have an advantage because they are morning people and their thinking has just begun shortly after they get out of bed.
In The Week Leading Up To Your Exam:
- Change your sleeping to wake at 6:00 AM - 6:30 AM for a minimum of 2 weeks before your exam date.
- At least 2 weeks before your exam date, write several practice tests between 8:00 AM and 11:00 AM.
- Do not participate in late-night studying in the week prior to your exam.
On The Day Of The Exam:
- Rise by 5:30 AM - 6:00 AM so you have sufficient time to make your way to the exam.
- Eat a very light protein breakfast since greasy/oily foods can make you feel heavy.
- Leave your home at least 45 - 60 minutes (buffer) earlier than expected to arrive at the exam centre.
- Arrive at the exam centre at least by the reporting time; this will allow you time to relax while waiting for the start of the exam.
For Indore (Afternoon Session - Start 2:00 PM)
The slot for the afternoon gives more time in the morning, but adds its own level of difficulty - afternoon fatigue, tiredness after lunch, and longer time to wait.
In the Weeks Prior to the Examination
- Practice IPMAT mock tests between 1 PM and 4 PM
- Determine if you generally experience a dip in energy after eating, and prepare meals accordingly.
- Train Yourself To Remain To Focus/Alert In The Early Afternoon.
On Exam Day
- Get up when you usually would, and complete your normal morning routine
- Perform a light revision this morning - review your formulas / key concepts / vocabulary list and do not complete a mock exam on the day of exam!
- Eat lunch at least 90 minutes before the exam starts (minimum light, digestible lunch) and not heavy meals.
- Arrive at your examination centre latest by 8 am (Rohtak) and 1 pm (Indore) to complete your document without rushing.
