IPMAT Indore Marking Scheme
There is negative marking of 1 mark in both the sections, quant and verbal ability, that are MCQs. But in IIM Indore the short answer section of quantitative aptitude does not have any negative marking.

IPMAT Exam Duration 2026
At IIM Indore, each section is timed separately; at IIM Rohtak, there is no sectional time limit. Despite no section wise time limit, the admission committee recommends equal time of 40 minutes per section. The total duration of the IPMAT exam is 120 minutes, i.e., 2 hours.

IIM Rohtak

IPMAT 2026 Question Types
There are generally two types of questions in the IPMAT 2026. IIM Indore has designed their paper in form of MCQs and Short answer type questions. The Quantitative aptitude section is divided into the MCQ and SA type questions. While the verbal ability has only multiple choice questions.
