IIM Shillong PGP Final Selection Criteria 2022 ( Admission process, Fees, Placements)
Indian Institute of Management Shillong (IIM Shillong or IIM-S) is a public, fully autonomous management institute which is established in 2007 in the city of Shillong, Meghalaya. It was the seventh Indian Institute of Management to be established in India. According to NIRF ranking 2021, IIM Shillong has ranked 23rd place among the top MBA colleges in India. The admissions will be done based on the scores of the students on the Common Admission Test (CAT). IIM Shillong Selection Criteria 2022
When it comes to the admission process at IIM Shillong, the selection process will be done in 2 phases. In phase 1, the candidates who applied for the admissions are shortlisted for the Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI). After the completion of GD and PI, based on the performance in GD, PI, CAT scores and Academics the final merit list will be prepared to offer the admissions for the final shortlisted candidates. Phase 1:
Candidates who applied for the PGP admissions of IIM Shillong were shortlisted for the Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) based on the minimum requirement of the CAT sectional cut off (Based on CAT 2021) which is given below.

These are the minimum requirements of marks required for shortlisting in various categories based on the admission process for the batch 2022-24 (closed). The reason behind the low CAT cut off in the admissions of IIM Shillong is to improve the academic and gender diversity in the batch.
Phase 2:
After the GD & PI process, the scores of PI will be used along with the academic and overall CAT performance of the shortlisted candidates for the preparation of the final merit list.

These are the Cut-off on the Performances of Candidates in GD & PI for different categories in the admission process of IIM Shillong. This final merit list will be prepared based on the scores as shown below.
- X: Score based on academic performance in Xth, XIIth, and Graduation
- Y: Score in PI
- Z: Overall CAT Absolute Score
Points to be awarded for computing the Score X based on the candidate’s academic performance in Xth, XIIth, and Graduation. The points awarded for the various percentages are given below.

Component X will count for an overall weightage of 20%. Whereas class 10th percentage will have a weight of 5%, that of class 12th is 7%, and the Graduation percentage will count for 8%. These will be normalized based on the stream (for Class XII) and Academic Category (for Graduation).
IIM Shillong fees structure 2022
IIM Shillong has provision for a Need-Based Financial Assistance Scheme to help economically weak MBA students. The tuition fees for MBA/PGP is around 14.6 Lakhs for the 2-year full-time programme. The Institute assists the participants in availing of educational loans from banks during the admission process. The details regarding the process are made available to the participants after they are offered admission to the Institute.

This placement season was conducted in two days with a batch size of 250 students have been offered from various prominent companies that participated in this final placement season. In this latest final PGP placements, most of the offers are given from the BFSI sector which is 27% of the offers in this placement season and 24% of the offers are from the IT & Analytics sector. The placement season saw participation from a total of 73 recruiters in various domains such as Consulting & Strategy, Finance, General Management, Human Resources & Operations, IT & Analytics, and Sales & Marketing. Among those 43 are first-time recruiters. IIM Shillong conducted the placement season through the participation of several prominent recruiters including Aditya Birla Capital, Amagi, Amazon, Bain & Company, Capgemini, Cognizant, D.E. Shaw, Deloitte USI, EY, Goldman Sachs, HSBC Bank, ICICI Group, Infosys Consulting and other who reaffirmed their faith in the institute.

IIM Shillong Batch Profile 2020-22 (Batch Size, Gender Ratio, Work Experience & Educational Background)
When it comes to the batch profile of IIM Shillong for batch 2020-22, the PGP batch size is approximately 250 students and the gender ratio was 75% of male and 25% female as shown in the below demographics.
As you can see in the above picture that represents the PGP batch profile of the batch 2022 with their gender ratio and the educational background statistics, almost 53% of the students are having an educational background in Engineering, 20% of the batch are having Commerce & Finance background, 12% are having Science, 8% are having Arts background and finally, 7% of the students are having the educational background of Management.
