Two boys A and B start from the opposite direction of 14 km apart. A is facing east and B isfacing west. A reaches the distance of 5 km towards east and B reaches a distance of 2 kmtowards west. What is the distance between the two boys?

Solution

A and B are apart of 14 km from eachother in opposite direction.

if A move 5 km east and B move 2 km west ,then they will come close by (5+2)=7 km.

So, they will apart of 14-7=7 km .
