In store T the sales for 2011 amounted to about what percentage of the sales for 2012?
Solution
Percentage of sales amounted in store T for 2011 = 100 + 17 = 117
Percentage of sales amounted in store T for 2012 = 117 - 0.08 × 117 = 107.64
∴ store T the sales for 2011 amounted to percentage of the sales for 2012 = 117/107.64 = 108.69%
