Select the option that represents the number of squares in the following figure.

Solution

Dividing the given figure into 16 units of 1 square each.
Number of 1 unit squares = 16
Number of 4 unit squares = 9
Number of 9 unit squares = 4
Number of 16 unit squares = 1
Therefore, Total number of squares = 16+9+4+1 = 30.
