given that $$ \frac{AD}{BD} = \frac{3}{1} $$
In $$ \triangle ABC $$
$$ \frac{AD}{BD} = \frac{AE}{EC} $$
$$ \frac{3}{1} = \frac{3.3}{EC} $$
solving EC = 1.1
now AC = AE + EC
AC = 3.3 + 1.1 = 4.4 cm
