A particle experiences constant acceleration for 20 s after starting from rest. If it travels a distance X,, in the first 10 s and distance X, in the remaining 10 s, then whichof the following is true?
The correct option is D.
$$X_{1}$$ = $$ut+\frac{1}{2}at^{2}$$ Â Â Â where, u=0
  $$\Rightarrow$$ $$X_{1}$$ = $$\frac{1}{2}a10^{2}$$  ..... (1)
$$\Rightarrow$$ $$X_{2}$$ =Â $$ut+\frac{1}{2}at^{2}$$ Â where, u = 10aÂ
$$\Rightarrow$$ $$X_{2}$$ = 10a + $$\frac{1}{2}$$ $$a10^{2}$$ Â ........ (2)
Dividing (1) and (2) we get $$\frac{X_{1}}{X_{2}}$$ = $$\frac{1}{3}$$
 $$\Rightarrow$$  $$X_{2}=3X_{1}$$
