Statements:
1. Y’s salary is half of (X+Z)
2. X and Y together earn ₹ 40 more than Z and Z earns ₹ 500

Solution

from statement 1

2Y = X + Z is in sufficient to answer

from statement 2

X + Y = 40 + Z

Z = 500

average = $$\frac{1040}{3}$$

             = 346.66

so only option 2 is sufficient to answer
