The ratio between the speeds of two buses is 11:9. If the second bus runs 270 tans in 15 hours, then the speed of the first bus is?

Solution

Let speed of 1st bus = 11x

and speed of 2nd bus = 9x

Speed=$$\frac{distance}{time}$$

According to the question,

speed of second bus=$$\frac{270}{15}=18km/hr

9x=18

x=2

Speed of 1st bus=$$2\times11=22$$
