A square park having a side 22 m has two roads each 2 m wide running in the middle of it and parallel to its length and breadth. What will be the cost of gravelling the path at the rate of ₹ 100/m$$^2$$?

Solution

Correct ans 8800

Let the roads be A,B
area of roadA = $$2\times 22= 44$$
area of roadB = $$2\times 22=44$$
44+44= 88
cost of gravelling = 100m^2
then cost = $$88\times 100 = 8800$$.
