Question 39

Two identical resistors, each of 10 Ω , are connected in parallel. This combination, in turn, is connected to a third resistor of 10 Ω . The equivalent resistance of the combination is....

Solution

R1 and R2 are in parallel and R3 is in series arrangement.

$$R_{parallel}$$= $$\frac{R1\times R2}{R1+R2}$$

$$R_{series}$$= $$R_{parallel}$$+ R3]

=$$\frac{R1\times R2}{R1+R2}$$ + R3 = 15

Option C is correct.
