If A gets double the amount of B and B gets $$ \frac{1}{3} $$ the amount of C, what is the share of A, if the total amount is Rs. 3,000 ?

Solution

A gets twice that of B and C gets three times that of B. So, if B gets x, A gets 2x and C gets 3x.

So, A's share = 2x * 3000/6x = 1000
