SSC CGL Syllabus Tier-I

The SSC CGL Tier 1 exam is an online, multiple-choice exam, according to the SSC CGL exam pattern. The exam is divided into four tiers, each with 100 questions. The cumulative number of marks assigned for the Tier I exam is 200. The Tier I examination lasts 60 minutes (80 minutes for differently-abled candidates).

SSC CGL Syllabus Tier-II

Tier II of the SSC CGL exam will consist of four papers:

  1. Quantitative Aptitude– This would be worth a total of 200 Marks. This paper has a time limit of two hours.
  2. English Language & Comprehension- This paper has a total of 200 marks and a time limit of 2 hours to finish it.
  3. Statistics– Once again, applicants must finish the paper in two hours and for a total of 200 marks.
  4. General Studies- Finance & Economics– This paper will be worth 200 Marks and will last 2 hours.

Important Points for the SSC CGL Tier-II Exam Pattern:

  • 4 Papers – As mentioned in the SSC CGL exam pattern, Finance & Economics have a mark distribution of 80 and 120, a total of 200 Marks.
  • Papers I and II are required for all positions.
  • Paper-III will be for applicants who have been shortlisted in Tier-I for the post of Junior Statistical Officer (JSO).
  • Only those applicants who were shortlisted in Tier-I for Paper-IV, i.e. for the positions of Assistant Audit Officer/ Assistant Accounts Officer, will be qualified to take Paper-IV.
  • Using the SSC CGL pattern, candidates should anticipate negative labelling of 0.25 Marks for each incorrect answer in Paper-II (English Language and Comprehension) and 0.50 marks for each incorrect answer in Paper-I, Paper-III, and Paper-IV.

SSC CGL Syllabus Tier-III

The Tier-III Exam, according to the SSC CGL Exam Pattern, is a subjective document that will be taken offline using pen and paper.

  • The exam is designed to assess candidates’ language proficiency, grammar understanding, vocabulary use, and writing skills in English/Hindi, according to the SSC CGL Tier III syllabus.
  • Candidates must write essays, precis, applications, emails, and so on. The Tier III examination lasts 60 minutes.

SSC CGL Tier III Important Points to remember:

  • Candidates must exercise caution when filling out the choices on this article, as Hindi/English is an option.
  • While this test is better than others, applicants must score at least one-third of the overall marks to qualify.
  • According to the most recent SSC CGL exam, the time allotted to differently-abled applicants is 80 minutes.

SSC CGL Syllabus Tier-IV

Candidates who achieve the required qualification marks in the assessment (Tier I, II, III) are qualified to take the Skill Test. The SSC CGL Tier 4 Exam consists of competence testing available for some government posts.
