Number Series Tricks For IBPS PO Examination | How To Solve Number Series

Questions on number series are common in most of the competitive Exams. General these questions are based on numerical sequences that follow some logical rules based on arithmetic concepts.

One specific series is given based on that analyse the pattern of the series. Then find the next number in sequence based on the same rule.

Logic: 24*1=24

24*3=72

24*5=120

24*7=168

  1. A complete numerical series followed by incomplete numerical series. You need to solve the incomplete series in the same pattern in which the given complete numerical series.

Eg:) 9  11  13  15  17

2   4   6    8    ?

Answer:)  10

Logic : 9*1+2=11

11*1+2=13

13*1+2=15

Same way: 2*1+2=4

4*1+2=6

6*1+2=8

8*1+2=10

    eg:) 2  6  15  31  56  (?)

Logic: difference between the two numbers is perfect square. this is the example of missing number series
6-2=4=2*2

15-6=9=3*3

31-15=4*4
