PM launched Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana /Ayushman Bharat from Ranchi,
Jharkhand
➢ It aims to provide free secondary and tertiary care to cover 10 crore families
➢ It will provide an annual coverage of Rs 5 lakh per family
➢ Beneficiaries can avail benefits in govt and pvt listed hospitals and there is no cap on family size and age
Supreme court declared Aadhar scheme as constitutionally valid
➢ The apex court struck down section 57 of the Aadhar Act that permit private entities to use Aadhar data and the National Security exception under the Aadhar Act
➢ Aadhar is mandatory for filing IT returns and allotment of PAN
