**Answers & Solutions:**

**1) Answer (A)**

(9-6)*2 = 6

(7-2)*4 = 20

(11-4)*3 = 21

Hence, option A is the right choice.

**2) Answer (C)**

The third number is the square of the difference between the second and the first number.

$(10-7)^2 = 3^2 = 9$

$(12-8)^2 = 4^2 = 16$

$(?-9)^2 = 64$

$=> ? -9 = 8$

$ => ? = 17$

Therefore, option C is the right answer.

**3) Answer (A)**

Each number is used only once and the sums of numbers along both the diagonals are equal.

6 + z + y = 2 + 8 + z

=>y = 4

6 + 1+ 8 = 6 + z + 4

=> z = 5 and x = 3.

(x,y,z) = (3,4,5).

Therefore, option A is the right answer.

**4) Answer (A)**

6*3 – 4 = 14

8*5 – 18 = 22

9*4 – ? = 19

? = 17

Hence, option A is the right choice.

**5) Answer (B)**

(18/3) * 4 = 24

(6/2) * 7 = 21

(21/7) * ? = 18

? = 6

Hence, option B is the right choice.

**6) Answer (C)**

The pattern which is being followed is that the number in the middle column of any row is the square of the average of the numbers in first and third row.

For example

(13 + 21)/2 = 17 and 17*17 = 289

(19 + 23)/2 = 21 and 21*21 = 441

Similarly,

(25 + 25)/2 = 25 and 25*25 = 625

Thus, option C is the correct answer.

**7) Answer (B)**

(6 * 7) – 3 = 39

(9 * 3) – 5 = 22

(13 * 4) – ? = 37

? = 52 – 37 = 15

Hence, option B is the right choice.

**8) Answer (B)**

The pattern being followed here is that in each of the rows, the middle number is the square of the average of first and third numbers. For example,

(5 + 9)/2 = 7, Square of 7 is 49.

Similarly, average of 16 and 8 is 12. Square of 12 is 144.

Using the same logic, average of 3 and 7 is 5. Hence, the missing number will be square of 5 which is 25.

**9) Answer (B)**

In each row, the first column is the sum of the second column ad twice the third column.

65 = 11 + 2*27

55 = 17 + 2*19

100 = 18 + 2x

x = 41

Hence, option B is the correct answer.

**10) Answer (C)**

In each column, the following pattern is followed:

$3^2 + 11 = 20$

$13^2 + 8 = 177$

Similarly,

$x^2 + 21 = 310$

$x = 17$
