The CAT 2018 result is declared by the IIM Calcutta on the official website. Candidates can download the score card for CAT 2018 exam now.
The section wise score-percentile and overall score-percentile will be displayed in the score card. The score given here is the Normalised score of the candidate based on the two shifts. (not the actual score). The percentile is calculated based on the normalised scores.
The CAT 2018 score will be valid up to the end of 2019 year (Dec 31, 2019). So, candidates can apply for the MBA colleges, using this score.
Candidates need to login with their credentials in the official website to check their scores and download CAT score card.

You will be given monetary scholarship (PayTm) based on your CAT percentile (if you are our CAT 2018 enrolled student)
- Rs. 500 for scoring above 99 percentile
- Rs. 250 for scoring above 95 percentile
- Rs. 100 for scoring above 90 percentile

CAT 2018 Cut off:
The CAT exam does not have any rigid cut off. However, most IIMs require a minimum of 80 percentile in each section and 90 percentile overall to consider for shortlisting for the next rounds (for the general category).

What after CAT Result:
If you have score a very high percentile overall and you have cleared the sectional cut off criteria for a IIM, you can expect to get the call from the IIM, through your email.
The shortlisted candidates list will be also displayed in that particular IIM website.
Some IIMs may ask you over your email, if you are interested in the further process to consider you for shortlisting.

CAT Percentile required for IIM Calls
When will I receive an IIM Call:
Top 3 IIMs IIM-A, IIM-B and IIM-C will release the shortlisted candidates list and will also them them, with in a week. Other old IIMs will release the shortlist by 15 days.
Other new IIMs may take up to 30 days to send over calls.

IIM SOP (Statement of Purpose) Forms:
Some IIMs like IIM-B (Bangalore) and IIM-KÂ (Kozhikode) may ask the shortlisted candidates to ask to write the Statement Of Purpose within a stipulated time (Normally 10 days).
Selection process:
The selection process will consists of one or some of the further rounds given below.
- Group Discussion (GD)
- Written Ability Test/Essay writing test
- Personal Interview. (PI)
Generally the WAT-PI is the most common process. The older IIM will each conduct their own rounds. But around 11 of the new IIMs will have CAP (Common Admission Process) conducted by IIM Rohtak, in the month of February 2019.
The final shortlisting will be over by 10th April to 10th May 2019.
